Why Bring Multimedia to Your Events?

In our digital age, simple text just doesn't cut it. Think of YouTube and Loom videos as your personal touch, enabling you to convey shift or event details clearly and intimately. Want a sprinkle of fun or a way to express feelings without words? Giphy GIFs are your answer. And when you need to beautify an announcement or give an immediate visual cue, Unsplash provides the perfect snapshot. Dive into this guide to see how these tools can elevate your Event communications, making them more personal, expressive, and visually engaging.

Harness Asynchronous Video Communication

YouTube videos are a direct and effective way to share detailed information about an event, enhancing engagement. As asynchronous video communication becomes more popular, YouTube serves as a practical tool for sharing such details.

Embedding YouTube Videos

  1. Find a Video on YouTube: Simply go to youtube.com and choose a video relevant to your event.

  2. Get the Link: Copy the URL of the YouTube video page.

  3. Post in Soon: Paste the video link into the Event description text box or in the comment section.

  4. Control Visibility on Event Cards: Add a hashtag at the end of the URL to control visibility on the Event cards:

    • #board: Visible on the Board Event card only.

    • #schedule: Visible on the My Schedule Event card only.

    • #both: Visible on both the Board and My Schedule Event cards.

Note: YouTube videos always appear in the Event details; visibility can't be controlled there.
